The median nerve provides sensation ( ability to feel) from wrist to your thumb,index,long and part of ring finger

Numbness *

Tingling *

Pain* 

pain and burning travels up your arm*

Weakness in the muscles of the hand *

Inflammation lead to swelling *

Your hand may “fall asleep “ and frequency drops object*

; Physical Examination 

.Inspection: may reveral atrophy of the thenar eminence •

.palpation: tenderness may be present at the wrist or thenar region•

.Range of motion (ROM) : of the wrist and fingers•

. sensorimotor testing: decreased sensation in median distribution with or without ring digit involvement•

. neural tension testing•

.Evaluation of the: cervical spine and elbow for other possible areas of entrapment•
